POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated IT Business Development Manager to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to leverage freelance platforms to drive lead generation and secure new business opportunities for our IT services. As an IT BDM specializing in freelance platforms, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and establishing strong relationships with potential clients worldwide.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue potential leads through various freelance platforms, including but not limited to Upwork, Freelancer, Fiverr, and others.
  2. Business Development: Develop and execute strategies to convert leads into successful business opportunities, fostering long-term partnerships with clients.
  3. Platform Management: Effectively navigate and utilize freelance platforms to optimize visibility, reach, and engagement with potential clients.
  4. Client Engagement: Establish and maintain strong communication channels with clients on freelance platforms, understanding their specific requirements, and proposing tailored solutions.
  5. Relationship Building: Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients, aiming for repeat business and referrals.
  6. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the freelance platform landscape to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  7. Proposal Development: Create compelling and customized proposals, showcasing our IT services and addressing clients' unique needs.
  8. Pricing and Negotiations: Collaborate with clients on pricing discussions and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.
  9. Performance Tracking: Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of lead generation efforts and business development activities.
  10. Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with our IT team, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.

 

Requirements:

  1. Proven Experience: Demonstrated success as a Business Development Manager or similar role, specifically in generating leads and securing business opportunities through freelance platforms.
  2. IT Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of IT services, solutions, and technologies to effectively communicate with potential clients and address their requirements.
  3. Freelance Platform Proficiency: Experience in navigating and utilizing popular freelance platforms like Upwork, Freelancer, Fiverr, etc., to identify and connect with potential clients.
  4. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective proposal development and client engagement.
  5. Negotiation Abilities: Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes for both the company and clients.
  6. Results-Driven: Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets and objectives.
  7. Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the freelance platform landscape and industry trends.
  8. Relationship Builder: Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  9. Time Management: Effective time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple leads and projects concurrently.
  10. Portfolio/References: A portfolio of successful projects or clients acquired through freelance platforms and/or references validating your business development achievements.
